With the support of our people, we can continue to provide these spaces for generations to come.

OUR STORY
Built From a Legacy of Generosity
Edward Froelich lived his entire life in Mountville, Pennsylvania. Mr. Froelich worked as a tobacco businessman and owned several farms in the area. Mr. Froelich was described by the community as a respected, compassionate, and often reserved man. Following his death at the age of 82, Mr. Froelich donated his entire estate to create a Trust providing interest proceeds that are split evenly between three organizations: the Salvation Army, the Water Street Rescue Mission and the Mountville Welfare Association. The Mountville Welfare Association is responsible to direct those proceeds to non-profit organizations that benefit Mountville and the surrounding community. As a result of Mr. Froelich's endowment, Froelich Park was acquired and constructed providing the athletic fields, green space, walking trail, and swimming pool.
